As much as I like ballio, it's too masculine a design so it had to go. The mega maintains that masculinity, but also has features that keep femininity from being outright excluded. Like Blaziken and Torterra.
Roothoot looks fucking retarded and you know it. The changes between it and any other form are too drastic, with the only bridging features being brown green and feet.. There's no sense of unity between it and the other designs.
There's too little change between stages two and three, and the two feel more like a form change or gender differentiation of a single mon. The mega is a better conclusion to a theme started by Litten and developed in the maned stage 2.
