I think the reason why individual pokemon discussions always end up being shitslinging contests is because people like to believe that something they don't like is inherently wrong all the time. Not to say that its never the case, theres some fucked up shit that people don't like that are morally reprehensible, dangerous, or otherwise unsafe, but it goes too far and you end up having discussions where two or more sides believe they alone decide what is justified and what isn't. On top of that, sometimes other people take someone else's dislike for something they like as a personal attack on themselves, which leads to a lot of heated flamewars. In /vp/ there is the idea that a pokemon CANNOT just exist as it is, it needs to justify its existence, and with how varied each person is with their personal tastes...You know how it goes. There's also a high chance that OP is just taking the piss, but who knows.
