The team being "divided" in BW2 is a generous way of putting it, there's like one house with a handful of good Plasma guys and the rest just openly became terrorists.
The point is that the game simultaneously tries to play off the issue as "both sides have a point, truth and ideals, thesis and antithesis" but also Team Plasma is a caricature run by the most evil man in the franchise and the issue could not be any more
black and white because how could Pokémon as a brand possibly concede that the series' premise is actually just fantasy dogfighting.
