I agree with what you say about his anti-religious stuff. It really is idiotic. At no point in ANY of the canons is there a parallel to Christianity and God, so why shoehorn it into your story for the sole reason to bash it and use it as a plot device for why 'their love can't be'?
I cringe when I read, "Oh Arceus!" or anything of the like.

fanfiction.net and he may be on other sites as well. Many consider him to be the Tolkien of Gardefics. His writing is phenomenal. Everything from his character interaction, world building, and dialogue is bar-none the best I've ever read. Seriously, I swear he's some sort of scientist+historian in real life based on how he explains some of the stuff in the Pokeverse.
There's not much Gardevoir in his first story, Fractured Unity, but it sets the stage for some seriously awesome stuff. To this day, I kind of regret reading his works though. Every Gardefic I've read since then has read like bland, uninteresting crap.
