You're not retarded if you get this problem wrong but it is a critical mistake that some people make assuming parenthesis priority is absolute.
>8/2(2+2)=
First you solve what's inside the parenthesis so it looks like this
>8/2(4)=
Now here's the main problem, yes the 4 is inside a parenthesis but the 2 is not. There's nothing between the 2 and 4 aside from the parenthesis, so we assume this is a multiplication, but multiplication and division have the same priority, so we in this case we solve from left to right. And yes we solve it from left to right because if you want solve it like a fraction you need to write a parenthesis to make the distinction
>4(4)=16
There you have it, now if after this you insist on getting wrong this problem, then yes, you are probably retarded.
