1) I was going for "wife material" almost literally. I made her look mature by giving her a thicker body in general and more natural boobs (rather than the ones she had in prior versions where they kinda looked bolted-on and firm). Cleavage is not a wife look to me. (Nothing against that, it's just not what I think of)
2) The blue clothes and brown skin are both important to me, but they don't look good next to each other, and that's why in multiple places, the blue isn't right next to the brown, and there's a "breaker" between (black under shirt and lighter skin).
P.S. I actually just took a look at Korra, and they do the exact same thing with her, where her blue top is white at the edges next to her skin.
