"In the final scene of the story mode of Pokemon Sword and Shield, the protagonist is shown fighting with a young boy who is holding a sword. Afterward he uses it again to slay several trainers as well as a lone Ranger , but at that moment someone is standing across the stage from him, it is the one who turns out his sword was broken. The guy holds up the Sword and Shield to the hero and yells 'Don't hurt 'em, you little bastard' before charging forward with that sword held at full capacity. The hero manages to catch up with him, only to be sent back to his spot by that sword, which is destroyed in the process.
The guy later tells the hero 'I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kill them. I just saw you at least once that day, I won't do it again, see?' at which point he goes on to tell the hero to go buy the Pokemon Gym Card as some kind of prize for his achievement (something that defines the character's attitude towards Pokemon trainers).
The Hero's Rage is actually a new type of move that is only found after defeating the three trainers that fought against you in the Gym in order to win. "
