Horsea
My favorite Pokémon and overall and the sharpshooter/surfer of the group. Benifits include: being comfortable on land or sea, fitting into tight places, shooting targets with sniper accuracy, creating smokescreens with its ink, and keeping me anchored underwater with its tail when the seas get really rough. I'd like to address the complaint that it's too small by saying 1), it can learn surf and 2) several Pokédex entries say it can swim quickly so it must have a strong fin. An adult male's weight is too much of a problem for longer trips, another Pokémon I'm bringing will fill this gap
Sandile
My second favorite Pokémon and the thief/recon of the group. Benefits: Sending it into sandy or soft soiled areas, sneaking, mischievousness, finding water in deserts, stealing, and potential take downs of guards subtly.
Weavile
My third favorite Pokémon and the /assassin/forager of the group. Benefits: amazing intelligence, cold resistance, amazing hunting skills, able to cut, devious, and able to assassinate with little attention.
Steelix
My fourth favorite Pokémon and the earth mover of the group. Benefits: Nearly limitless destructive power, able to create entire tunnel systems for me in minutes, can level buildings, search as deep as half a mile, destroy basically anything softer than it, can carry myself and the rest of my team, and block a lot of standard human weaponry like bullets. Only downside is its size which would mean it stays out of cities
Clefable
My fifth favorite Pokémon and the bard/scout/morale of the group. Benefits unbelievable hearing for an early alert system, able to sing to keep morale and put others to sleep, able to fly and skip over water, cuddly, and potentially an alien.
Dragonite
My nineteenth favorite Pokémon and my ace/flyer/surfer. Benefits: Unbelievable speed in air and water, protective, incredible destructive force, and a nice size to carry myself and two or three of my smaller partners.
