I want to try mention a couple of the good things, because man I have talked a lot about how dumb the story is, how bloated the cast is, how incredibly annoying the "win battle, then lose anyway" thing is, how boring some of the fights are, etc
So some good stuff
Crests are a cool idea. Unfortunately a lot are unavailable any point that they'd be nice to use, but they're at least there and that means you can debug them in.
Most of the Aevian forms are cool, both good looking and strong enough to have a spot in the team (and a couple are able to outright carry a team)
Some of the characters are pretty good. Aelita, Melia, Crawli, Tesla, probably more if I sat down and thought about it. On the same topic, I'm not sure how much is intentional, I really despise most of the antagonists and that can be a good thing (though its not perfectly handled here)
Very easy to train up new teams and switch members out once you get rolling
Its a fucking ton of content. While this isn't always good content, I can't deny that I don't appreciate the hours that must have gone into this game, even if I think a lot of them have been spent on dumb shit and bad writing
