I started spoofing strictly so I could get Pokeballs and I bought a Pokemon Go Plus so I can collect on my way to work, at work and on my way back. Gives me just what I need so that, when I do get to play, I can actually ride my bike around town and play.
I usually just have my GPS set to a location down the road from my work that has 3 stops instead of parking somewhere like NY and abusing it all the more. It doesn't justify me cheating, but I feel more happy doing it on a local level and ignoring catching wild Pokemon while I work.
Also the Pokefrap is pretty good.
