But if they ever do a Dodo Bird Pokemon I want the joke to be it isn't even FLYING it's just PURE NORMAL because it's a "flightless" bird. It's just the "Magikarp of Land" and it's completely and hopelessly non-threatening; only knowing splash and eventually PECK or something.
Until it evolves into an amazing, breathtaking, 12ft tall, long-neck, axe-beaked, crested, hyper-aggressive Terror-Bird at level 20. It'll still be a "flightless" bird but it'll gain a secondary typing like Normal/Fire or Normal/Dragon to spite Gyarados.
This is what I'd love to see.
