went into a double battle vs a couple of ace trainers, didn't know what to expect, they ended up having mons that were a lil too strong for me and i lost Starman and two other mons in the process. I'll consider this a game over, desu I wasn't really feeling it anymore since I had to grind mons up and up all over again and I never really liked the gen 2 postgame as much as everyone else anyway. I could soldier on, but with Lance already defeated and my ace down I have no real reason to continue, the run's basically already been a victory for me.
So! I'll need a new game to locke. Might play Emerald, which is one of my faves, and add a few extra rules to make things tougher and more interesting, otherwise I'll probably go for a good difficulty hack. What difficulty hacks do you guys recommend outside of the Drayano ones? Keep in mind I want a hack that is more challenging, but not a hack that throws bullshit around you all the time, so basically something you can locke without having to be entirely familiarized with the game already.
