It's hard to believe that just a decade ago, this website was shockingly genuine and sincere. It was unhinged, don't get me wrong, and you of course always had some level of trolling and so going on, but what made 4chan interesting was that even the unhinged part came from a sincere part of someone. Why else would a site like this produce so much original content?
Felt like it was one of the last places you could go to for it, before that too was wiped out.
