I have this tendency, did it in my last run before this, where around the 5th gym or so, i decide to train up a new mon or 2 to help with the gym
what happens as a result is pokemon start dying left and right
got a zebstrika, died
got a vanilite, too slow, died
tried to train up a ducklett and joltik
outsped by a random gym trainer that killed them both, fuck swoobat. why the fuck does that stupid fucking bat hit so goddamn hard?
fought skyla, got to swanna. swanna, despite its BST being dogshit, beat the brakes off my entire team because air slash flinch
just goes to show, if your current team is doing well, even at disadvantage, don't. fucking. train. new ones.
that's twice now that me trying to prevent unnecessary death ended up costing me the entire fucking run.
