I think having a small other Pokemon would be helpful even with an Altaria buddy, for when you're just walking around and stuff. I'd probably like to chill with a Joltik or Cutiefly, as they are both exceptional shouldermons. Joltik you could feed with battery packs or some sort of hand-crank generator or something and you could keep extra pollen on hand for your Cutiefly if you end up somewhere without a lot of flowers.
