I'm sure that all, yes if you can believe it, ALL, fucking pokemon evolution is just turning into an overdesigned version of it's previous self with inflated stats. Yes, that's right, every fucking damn pokemon evolution, every last one is a copy paste of it's previous self verbatim, with spikes or such added for nor real reason. I mean, it's not as if the quote you're pulling conveniently cuts out the part where I mentioned striking an anime pose and using a magic friendship rock. It's not as if mega evolutions being a non permanent transformation that can only be executed in battle make them ANY different from regular evolution. Nope, definitely not. The transformation between, say, duskull and dusclops is 100% the same as the transformation between, say, gyarados and mega gyarados.
I genuinely am fucking moved by the sheer asspull mental gymnastics people like to pull just to miscommunicate someone else's point. You gain nothing from it, both you and I know that is not the part of the statement I put emphasis on, as does anyone who can look at the single post above yours.
