>>56855966It depends on what you like, but as someone who's played XY recently, consider the following:
>GarchompIts fucking Garchomp lol. Exp share makes it less of a pain in the ass to raise if you're ok with that. Despite it being the gen where it gets a new weakness, you just need Poison Jab to take care of any pesky fairies in your way, and Earthquake for everything else. The last two moveslots don't really matter.
>AerodactylThe only game in the series where you can get it as early as before the second gym, you just need to smash up rocks in glittering cave until you get an Old Amber, then talk with a fossil reviver scientist in the town near glittering cave, forgot the name of it. It's fast, strong, and can mega evolve, but if you don't like the last part you can teach it acrobatics. Rock & Flying is a really good pair of offensive types.
>AzumarillComplete monster and a true freak you can catch as early as Route 3. Excellent defensive types in Water & Fairy, a decent base 80 Def & Sp. Def with a good base 100 HP, blessed with the busted ability Huge Power which doubles not its base attack but the attack stat you see in its menu, and access to fighting moves like Power-Up Punch means you have a very scary and powerful pokemon with few too weaknesses to get scared about. Aqua Tail/Waterfall, Return, a fighting move and Aqua Jet for priority privileges means the semi-aquatic rabbit demon can assrape everything in the entire game with only TWO exceptions. Only outright downside is that you have to wait until level 50 for a Fairy type attack, but unlike XY, ORAS cuts the level requirement down to 25. Azumarill shits on Diantha so hard its unreal.
