Does Sky Pillar refer to "the opponent" as in "the player who does not have their own Sky Pillar in play" or does it basically mean "prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to Benched Pokemon" seeing as when you attack, from the opponent's perspective YOU'RE the opponent, so if you tried to, say, attach Energies via GRI Rayquaza's Turbo Storm it'd get prevented, same for if your actual opponent tried it.
