If they want to make nostaligiabait so bad, just take RBY, update the pokemon roster and mechanics, but still keep the Gameboy aesthetic.
It's hardly nostalgiabait when remakes completely change the entire game, whether its from a graphical, battle mechanic, storytelling or features included standpoint, leaving the only thing in common between the original game and its remake is what region the game takes place in.
