I finally realise what was so grabbing to me about older Pokémon cards, it was the colours, the fun 3d cards that actually show more than justa pokemon doing a pose and the amount of “card game” only locations and characters, older sets just had a more natural feeling colour and more originality instead of taking almost everything from the games in my opinion
