Ive been playing for 20 years and never transferred my pokemon.
I mean you can play with them in the games in which you still have them?
A new mainline game for me is about discovering a new region, a new story and new pokemon. That's what's fun, transferring pokemon changes nothing to the gameplay and is autistic.
Actually it's on eof the best decisions gamefreak made this year, I hope it stays like this every gen so that the meta will change a lot every new gen. Since i'm rich i'll buy one more sword/shield game for every crybaby disagreeing with this
