Now, there's been a lot of debate over Living Dexes in this thread, but time to put all that aside.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present unto you: The Alltism™ Dex.
If you wanted one of every variety of Pokémon currently present in the Galar Dex, you would need 63 boxes worth of space to hold them all.
This takes into account the following:
- Regular forms
- Gender differences
- Star shinies
- Square shinies
- Gigantamax versions of all of the above, including those announced for expansions/datamined (Toxicitry)
- Regional/alternate forms (including those not currently in the game, but will inevitably be available via Home)
- All variations of Alcremie, including those not yet obtainable, and shiny variants only noticeable in the Pokédex/from the box sprite
This does not take into account:
- Collecting both genders when identical (the SwSh Dex automatically gives you both in this instance)
- Expansion pack Pokémon
- Datamined Pokémon
- Legendary shinies (I think Silvally was actually given out? For my sake, I hope not...)
- Zacian/Zamazenta alt forms, as I believe these don't display in box
- Any PoGo/previous gen costume variants that might wind up being Home-able
- Anything I inevitably missed or forgot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
