I’d trek into the nearest wild area, camp, and keep lookout for any fennel in I can spot from afar. Of course, since Pokemon are sapient beings, their reactions would be as unique as their nature and personality, so some will be curious enough to visit me should I whistle for their attention, while others will be hesitant and run away. I’ll rely on the curious ones and feed them some treats, maybe freshly cooked food, and bond with some toys like a feather on a stick.
Once I see it’s been enjoying my company, I’d present my Pokeball and ask if it wants to be my partner. Pokémon understand our speech, and use appropriate body language and cries in response, so I’ll be pleased if one of the first few Fennekins that visited me enthusiastically agrees to it.
