Ok I'm going to post what I have so far:
"I've got to get stronger!" Hau thought to himself as he pushed through the thick foliage that covered the western slopes of Melemele Island. Ever since the events at Aether Paradise with Elio, he felt a new calling. He was going to be a serious trainer, perhaps one day even becoming stronger than Hala. But to do that, he was going to need a full team of six Pokemon, and so far his search had proven fruitless.
In the hours since Hau had started his trek, the mild early morning sun had evolved into the fierce noon sun. Even though the canopy provided a shield from the sun's rays, it also made the rainforest floor unbearably humid. "Hooo...it's getting too hot." Hau had tied his loose shirt into a knot on his right side, exposing his midriff, but it was not enough to cool him off. He wasn't even wearing any underwear beneath his trunks, but it still made little difference. He already drank half of the water in his backpack and knew from his grandpa's advice that now was the time to turn back.
He paused to wipe the sweat off of his brow, which was furrowed with disappointment. "Man!" he said to himself "I thought there would a TON of Pokemon up here!" Indeed, there was little of interest to any human in this particular part of the island, so according to Hau it must have some rare Pokemon. Yet not even a Mankey could be seen ever since he climbed up from Route 2, and the only calls he had heard were those of distant Flying-type pokemon. As Hau sat down to rest beneath the shade of a tree at the edge of a small clearing, the significance of this had only just begun to impress itself upon his usually carefree mind. But his moment of contemplation was cut short by a loud rustling in the thicket.
