My biggest complaints about SM is the god awful art style coupled with forced comic relief moments and lackluster battles. Suddenly ash is a buttmonkey and poop jokes are now supposed to be funny, also alolan oak is the cringiest character in the anime ever, period. The battles are an afterthought and every plot-relevant episode feels like a filler with 90% comic relief shenanigans with 10% of battling which is just the usual Z move spam. The female companions have absolutely dogshit goals (one of them literally wants to blow a bubble) and only exist for the Coomers. Gladion is a poor man's Alan and lusamine is butchered pretty hard. Did I mention the hot pile of garbage that was the villain arcs? It's like they completely dropped the ball on them. Ash is a totally different person now, his wanderlust has disappeared into thin air now prefers to hang out with his autistic classmates and shake his butt. The opening song is pretty annoying as well, ash screaming AROOOOORAAAAAAA for the 99th time makes me puke with disgust. The league feels like an apology for how they treated him over the years. I'm glad this shitshow is finally over and now we can move on to badass Satoshi.
