Back then battling was the true test of the love of your pokemon and not worrying about that Smogon bullshit which is used almost all the time. You are right that Johto is the shortest region but if included with Kanto it is by far the longest the series ever had.

I do admit BW2 were pretty good, but it was another game that could have done better if GF didn't fucking rush as usual.

The only new evo I enjoyed was dusknoir only because I was able to use dusclops to the full extent with eviolite. I don't think they are all bad though, some of them really needed a new evo.

I can understand if you started the Pokemon series just in the past years and find the earlier gens shit, it's only natural you look up to the newer games. I did not mention anywhere I found the earlier games better than the newer ones in comparison and I completely understand what gunwunner is.
