Now I'm fully back into my TV anime bullshit after watching the AU movies. Moving onto Sun and Moon after watching XY -> AG -> DP in that order. It's probably fine, I doubt anything's going to spoil me for BW, if I ever get around to that.
So it turns out I actually watched 15 episodes of SM before switching to AG. I thought it was just a couple, but apparently I got lost in it, which is a good sign. My first impressions back then were basically:
>1. Wow, this looks really good when it's moving. Still shots don't really don't do it justice for how fluid it looks in motion.
>2. I can see why people who really liked what XY was doing hate SM. And being unanchored from the Gym plot to keep the structure, This was before Horizons aired and showed what that could look like.
>3. Lana sounds like Elmo in the dub, and I want to die any time she emotes. I'm watching the subs now to rectify this.
I'll rewatch through some of the episodes I saw as a refresher. If I have any major impressions, I'll post. I think I have a better sense of the "rhythm" of Pokemon seasons, so I think I'll enjoy it more.
Glad I missed the caption and got to be updated on the raid. Cool. Probably will see you guys again after they've tired out.
