Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion is the perfect example of how people would have reacted to USUM if Gamefreak were honest and just made it a DLC pack. People fucking adore Octo mode, my Twitter feed has been drowning in Octoling art. Gamefreak could have done the same thing and not pissed off a good chunk of their fanbase, but gotta get that cash money I guess.
After USUM I've given up on Gamefreak, Splatoon is my new love and the devs continue to deliver and keep my hopes up.Now all they need to do is nerf Stingray.
