GameFreak (Masuda and Ishihara) used to work on some weird smutt shit before they got the Pokémon gig by talking Tajiri into it. Nintendo was never excited about Gamefreak, Iwata could probably see the shit flying towards the fan the second he saw Masuda. At some point their studio was Ishihara's apartment, that some anon here once joked that it used to be a porn stage that got busted for doing illegal shit.
GameFreak doesn't want to be associated with little girls wearing lingerie anymore, but that is how Masuda and Ishihara paid bills (at least Masuda did, Ishihara is just straight up old crime money).
