I played around with this team for Crystal hacking in some mons and moves.
>Furret
Is only there because I just felt like using one and haven't since I was a kid. It did surprisingly well in the early/mid game thanks to Defense Curl and Rollout. I also like that it levels up really fast. Sadly, it became dead weight in the endgame.
>Arcanine
I gave it the Crunch and Body Slam egg moves. Growlithe takes forever to learn Flame Wheel and it doesn't help that it levels up slowly.
>Misdreavus
Once you get Shadow Ball and Psybeam, it's pretty fun to use. I got some good use of Pain Split during the League.
>Muk
I hacked Muk in, skipping Grimer entirely because fuck waiting until level 38 to evolve it. Technically you can catch underleveled Muk in Kanto so it didn't feel too much like cheating. It's a fun tank.
>Starmie
I thought teaching it Thunder would be useful against Lance's Gyarados that likes to start with Rain Dance but the AI prefers using Flail or Hyper Beam. Lance in general is annoying to predict his moves, which makes switching especially risky.
>Gligar
I gave it the Wing Attack egg move and Earthquake, which it can learn via Stadium 2. What was GF thinking by not letting it learn these moves by level up/TM? It's far from game breaking.
