I have a pokemon sapphire cartridge that is perfectly working BUT if you turn off the console and then open the game again, there is no continue option, even if you normally saved the game. It's in another language but the message that displays should roughly mean "game data erased!" (yes, with an exclamation mark) This message displays after i press start in the game screen, before saiyg the other thing about the battery being dry. I think the cartridge is official and not a bootleg because it came with the box and the instructions, and by the way everything looks alright. i tried to clean it, to let it one night submerged in rice, but nothing seems to work. I even resetted the data, altough there wasn't, with up+select+b. If I do this, the message doesn't show up anymore, even if I soft reset. But if I save data or hard reset, here it comes again. I was thinking about changing the battery (cr1616) but that should fix only the time problem, not the saves cause that is sram's work. So, is the sram damaged? I can't fix in any way the game? If so, I can't play the game at all, because without saving I can't progress that much (don't tell me to leave the game on 24 hours a day). I'm searching for someone who finally understands this problem. Please 4chan, you're my only hope.
