ITT: Your favorite music from each generation.
>Gen I: Rocket Game Corner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE7csqs9UXcIn a game that felt barren at times became much more lively in Celadon city: People and pokemon in the streets, a mall, and a game corner. A cute little theme in a small spot that really made the city memorable. I also loved hearing this in Pokemon Stadium.
>Gen II: Dark Cave http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALBTQMzD2soI really don't like caves. I really REALLY don't like caves that need flash. But this theme here conveys such a sense of mystery and discovery it made dark cave feel less like a tedious stop and more like a place to explore.
>Gen III: Lilycove City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0QvMnDDPRYR/S/E's soundtrack gets a lot of shit over its use over trumpets. However the digital instruments are used greatly to create this theme. It has sort of this clumsy, head-in-the-clouds air to it that seems very reminiscent of the gen as a whole.
>Gen IV: Eterna City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb5gWqUBtvkThis song is just chilling to me for some reason. It's got a very honky-tonk American vibe combined with very Asian sounding instruments. The atmosphere of walking through this city improved my perception of this game I'm sure.
>Gen V: Driftveil City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc_0wfIuuzwQuite simply I'm jammin every time I enter this city.
