I just had a game where I had 5 energy stacked on my Eevee while I just let him pick off my other mons until finally I drew my first Research with 7 cards left in deck getting me to a Flareon to one shot his stacked Celebi. He even had Blue to try and tank a hit with his second one, but obviously I had a Greninja on the bench by then.
