He was an enormous wall for me and my casual team that even carried an HM slave since i had no other surver. Took me almost 2 hours of figuring out how to use my x and healing items. In the end I even had to use all 6 of the rare candy i found so far to brute force a part of the fight.
If I remember correctly, his Honrade outspeed and 1shot every single one of my pokemon. I was lacking a ground move to deal with Polossus and his initial Reflect/Light Barrier setup with Birdhouse denied me easy kills.
Kanye was also a good fight, thought me about the "type resist berries".
Stump was alright. The Viol battle at the end of Victory Road was very clutch and time consuming too.
I struggled with a lot of fights during the last third of the regular game but managed to get through without making changes to my initial team or looking up cheese tactics.
