>>41579243>Hyper Training exists now too.Yes, I'm aware that exists and I already mentioned that they've been adding things which lower the barrier of entry for competitive.
>the impact IVs have is minimal enough to not careIt obviously doesn't matter if you're playing the base game, but IVs do matter in competitive online play even at low levels. I'm not talking about petty shit like 31 IVs in attack versus 30 IVs, but something like 15 vs 31 is a huge advantage, especially when it comes to speed. Hell, with the way speed works, a single point could make all the difference. Sure, you could not care about it, but chances are everyone else is going to do it for that extra competitive edge, so why shouldn't you?
>So why is it bad?But I already told you why it's bad. It's a RNG grind which just creates a bunch of unnecessary busy work. I can understand if you enjoy the grind, but my point is that for someone like me, it just exists as an annoying barrier when I just want to battle competitively online, especially since I like messing around with move sets a lot. I'm not saying that they should remove it as a feature completely, but I'm happy that there are options to bypass it now.
