Here's an idea. How about making a reptilian ice type? It's obvious why GF doesn't do that since freezing cold is the least thing any reptile wants but I thought it would be visually interesting.
Basically it's black or grey because real snakes in cold climates have that color to absorb light and therefore warmth better.
It has ice shard looking scales similar to a rough scaled bush viper and it has those holes that you can see on pythons except not for sensing stuff but frosty cool air comes out of it. as you can see I'm not an artist.
Maybe it could have a variation of flash fire as an ability that powers it up somehow when hit by fire attacks.
It could also be Fire/Ice come to think about it. Frozen outside and very hot inside with steam coming out the holes.
