>>54724125The rest of the team was either mons I'd never used before (Ambipom, Raichu) or ones I haven't used in forever (Snorlax, Alakazam, Leafeon). If I ever play again I'll try to go for an actively weaker, or at least more fiddly line up to try get a bit more challenge.
The puzzles were largely pretty easy, the only one that really stonewalled me was the Pyukumuku one and that wasn't mandatory.
I liked all the weird silly stuff a lot, I find it helps cut out any edge or melodrama. The bin gimmick, the Kanto hate, Prims, all good stuff. The MC gave me minor vibes of the MC from Devil Survivor 2, I like to think if it was a game with more dialogue options they'd be like that.
Despite the translation being incomplete here and there further in, I think the game had a lot of polish. Work clearly went into the designs and art, and the sprite work in particular was really fun and creative in some scenes, I can't praise those parts enough. The girls were all cute, and the few new pokemon that were added were inoffensive and in a couple cases, good.
So yeah, good stuff, I think I'll compare whatever the next game is with this unfavourably, especially as I can't think of a fan game thats had characters that I liked as much as these ones. I wouldn't mind something a bit harder, but at the same time I'd much rather play something a bit easy that lets me use whoever I like than something super hard that requires a new team for every gym. Vanilla Insurgence was just right for me in terms of difficulty I think.
In summation Sara best girl
