If Ruby for all intentions and purporses was dragged outside for all arcs while attempting stay faithful to his role, his character would've been more a detriment than anything else to the overall experience. He sucked at a good amount of corners but was placed good enough within the arcs. Except for ORAS but Pokespe about the remakes are a story on their own.
