Current held items are so boring and they need more slots with more functionality, and equipment would be fine. dRAGON Quest monsters games have silly things like slimes equipping whips or spears so it's all good, and besides, the entire concept of tiny Pokemon fitting into capsules is already absurd and retarded so might as well kick it up a notch in order to actually have fun gameplay.
>>55685024Trainer classes should be interchangeable and leveled, and you can unlock better ones like Ace trainer by maxing out the lower ones (like lots of other tactics games). I also think Pokemon should have default "Attack" like in mystery dungeon or every other RPG, with their 4 moveset being used special (hell, maybe include MP instead of PP). Also battles versus trainers would be 6v6, whereas wild battles should be up to 8 or even 16, with dungeons having natural bosses and evil Pokemon terrorizing villages or something, and they have minions used in battle (again, like any tactics game). I'm so fucking sick of 1v1.
Oh, and about the item world idea: that's where tons of exclusive Pokemon are found, especially legendaries. You have to just get lucky, if you want Mew or Celebi or Dialga, they're found on floor 99 of some random Legendary quality ring. Catching Pokemon can involve the trainer being the right class, weakening them, and then being able to generate infinite "units" from, say, a Pokemon center (instead of a home hub).
Of course the level cap should be 99,999 as well.
