The champ is underwhelming and the professor gets no comeuppance for his negligence. I felt underwhelmed vs being perfectly happy with emerald, platinum, and B&W's showdown finales.
the seeds of a plot are there. the ancient superweapon being so strong it ripped the universe into a seperate unstable timeline with megas and stuff was a cool idea it just wasn't fleshed out enough.

>>54560766Well yea thats what I'm saying is most everything in 6 needs more saturation and better monster proportions before my brain can let it mix with the older generations. the image of the girls I posted above is the same idea. That there is a cohesive throughline that gets lost along the way. my cut off happens to be gen 6. Even gamefreak knew gen 6 was "different" enough to be a new timeline. Gen 5 has issues too mind you, Zorua should be proportioned more like Vulpix for example. but...
idk where I'm going with this. gen 6 just doesnt work for me. Body snatchers plot or just Z spinkles and polish would fix a lot. Sugimori's old artsyle, and more time would've made the games better too but that goes for every new gen
