Literally the only time when Greninja was polarizing in /vp/ was when the first, low-quality image was leaked in Sept 29. When we got more images, Pokemon-Amie screens and also the others' evos, he instantly became the most liked.
I can't seem to find the biggest poll made in /vp/ regarding the Final Starter evos. One that had around 7,000 votes, though it admittedly got shared in LE READIT.
