>Best Looking Pokemon Game by milesAnd would've been better if it wasn't marred by the artstyle, it feels like I'm playing a JumpStart game featuring Pokemon.
>Only major change to the battle system is removing Abilities which were (Outside of competitive) just ignored outside of specific ones 99% of the time (Levitate/Shedinja/Mimikyu)As a lot of people have pointed out there are more Abilities that are noticeable in the main game, I can several (Moxie, Sturdy, Poison Point, Static, Flame Body, Pick Up, etc.) that either wiped my opponents off the field and some lesser-known Pokemon become absolutely useless without their Abilities. Also, data-miners have shown us that Abilities are still in the game as a disabled function. How else would we know that Meltan has Magnet Pull and Melmetal comes with Iron Fist?
>Held Items are gone which no one used for single player everWhile it is true some people would skip out on using Held Items themselves there's a VERY good chance they've encountered a Pokemon with a Held Item, wild or otherwise. And let's not forget the Amulet Coin.
>Got rid of pointless random encounters from the 90s.The point behind random encounters is to show off the mystery of a new area. While I'm all for overworld encounters they shouldn't be as obvious as LGPE's is.
>Made shiny hunting an actually engaging thing to do and watch. And as a result it's made catching Pokemon completely effortless, with LGPE's catch mechanics I feel no attachment or value towards any of the Pokemon I catch regardless of total IV value.
>Removes pointless EVs that stopped adding depth 3 gens agoAnd again you failed to pay attention to what data-miners discovered. EVs are still in the game and Pokemon have EV yields, they're just not recorded upon capture/defeat.
>Made IVs visible the moment you catch a pokemonThis is the ONLY good point you've made so far. Having to wait until the post-game to unlock Judge functions is annoying.
