The games don't make as much money as everything else and are probably the most expensive thing to produce, more so if they truly up-scaled things. GF was fine making 2D GB games, they were easy. Now games take more effort, more resources, more power to make. They don't want to put in the effort for little return. Its not about making games anymore. Its about money. Never expect Pokemon to be good again.
