>>22688787Surprisingly, neither woman stays to see you walk through the doors. One second they're there, the next, Malva is retreating back to her chamber, with Serena pacing after her. You aren't disheartened, mostly because you assume they just want a few moments to catch up, being family and all. Familial values are something that's arguably more important than you right now, so you let them go without putting up a fight. Besides, you'll see them both later either way, so it's no big deal.
You don't get to hear the other side of the story.
"Come on, we've got lots to talk about," Malva says, hushed and rushed.
Serena turns around, watching her mother walk away from her, "Huh..? But what about Calem? Aren't we going to-"
"Nope. No time, come with me, and cut the thirst on the way there. You'll see him later."
Still unsure, Serena takes one step and holds up a hand, "But--"
"Have you looked out the window lately?"Serena is interrupted and left speechless. With not much choice, she follows after her mother, but not without sending one last, lingering, longing gaze your way. In the meantime, you decide to give all your Pokemon a proper pep talk, the ones that are still conscious, anyhow.
>Your pep talk is...A) Inspiring.
B) Realistic.
C) Horrible.
D) Depressing.
