That NO rehash (including BW2 and USM here too, like Game Freak see them) sold more than 10m and only BW2 (by virtue of BW1's underperformance) and USM sold half of the main pair shows the casual market ignored the re-treads. The first Pokémon DLC release was remarked on by Nintendo in their EoFY statement as being chief reason their digital-only revenue was so high for the listed period, indicating for the first time in series history, Game Freak got the casual market buying the mid-Gen paired game extrapolated content (can't call the DLC rehashes, but like Platinum's based off DP and Emerald off RS, they're based around SS and SV). And it's not just the fact the system sold gangbusters, DS did similar, 10m fewer people (give or take a few bodies) bought Platinum, while there was a market of 12m for HGSS (showing normalfags WERE there, just not willing to chuff up money for a rehash).
