>>38630143Okay so fun story. The twitch marathon got announced around the same time I was planning out a 100% autismlocke for Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. Since I evidently had the time and wanted to spice the clusterfuck further, I decided to basically try and race the anime to the end of the Indigo League.
At the risk of sounding like the trashiest, most impossible-level autist genwunner in existence, those days going through Kanto, balancing teams and catches, trying to keep everyone alive, while also trying not to fall between the games and the show... I fuckin felt the spark man. I genuinely felt like I was there, fighting my way through the region, doing my best on a journey to get gym badges in time before the League tournaments started. That shit was magical, man. It gives me hope in my little socially retarded heart, that this happiness is actually attainable.
>>38625343>>38630143Okay, for a non-depressive answer, how I'd LIKE to live? Honestly, I think Ash, as much shit as I and everyone else likes giving him, has the right idea: going from region to region, challenging league after league, all the while letting every new journey be a new beginning. Hell, I'll even recognize I'd probably end up faring even worse in the tournaments than he famously does(if my irl VGC record was any indication), but that just sounds like a minor trip up in what looks to me like the most fun way to live life there. There's too much to enjoy to stick to one place, and too many Pokémon for me to just choose like 6-ish to deal with my entire life. If I'm going to the Pokémon world, I'm damn well going to enjoy as much of it as I can.
