Every starter (really every Pokemon, but that's beside the point) is loved by someone, there are even people out there who love Meganium. Even during Gen 4 when they were pushing Piplup, plenty of people loved and still love Empoleon. Character pushing comes and goes, few starters ever get pushed in every Gen, and it's ok to love the Charizards too, cause in the end, Pokemon has such board demographics, someone is bound to like at least one Pokemon. Go ahead and use whatever your latest buzzword for the left is, but deep down, you know this is the truth.
