kinda a slow night so let's discuss what we know about the anime and where we think it's headed.
first of all, let's settle this once and for all, as of now 11/21/22 there is NO evidence that supports that the pokemon anime is ending or that Ash is leaving, there is even merch that shows gen 9 pokemon in anime form.
Due to the lack of gen 9 anime material and the fact that there is 2023 merch with the JN logo I think that the anime is moving toward more of an "all pokemon included" type of world. in JN they had pokemon that both were and were not in the gen 8 games but still were in the anime, JN included all regions(to various degrees) in the anime with them largely excluding Galar from the anime which is unheard of for the anime.
I think the largest possibility is that either JN will continue(JN2) or that a SV anime would heavily include the rest of the known pokemon world in it(maybe paldea being the home base) as for the cast of the anime there is no denying that JN has shown its favorites in terms of characters with some being giving the spotlight while other are now forever confined to the background cast. I think there is a large possibility that the main cast will include Ash, Dawn, Goh, and Chole. They have the shillmon they have the reasons and they have the backing of the writers and staff. the plot of the SV anime could still include the story of the games but it would be told differently in the anime( like gen 8) think about this like how they handled Marnie, she was a 1-time character who got an ep dedicated to her while in the games she is more important. what I'm most interested in is how they will handle a new main plot now that the m8 is over. please let me know your thoughts.
