>>37432552Honestly, yeah, it doesn't make sense. Primarina was voted the favorite out of the evolved gen 7 starters and was the 3rd most popular gen 7 Pokemon overall, and got nothing for it. Meanwhile the two less popular ones get to be in spinoff games.
If I were to guess, I'd say that Nintendo and Gamefreak looked at the initial backlash to Popplio and its evolutions and figured "nobody likes them, let's bank hard on the other two". It's likely why both Chespin and Fennekin got shafted as well, while Froakie -> Greninja became the most popular Pokemon out of gen 6.
