I wonder if we ever learn what caused that "rage", because it was BEFORE Legend Arceus which clearly takes place some years after the movie.

This is actually very interesting aspect as usually wild pokemon are seen to be aware that main trio is important to them, is Arceus BEYOND that, thats why Pokemon treat it like another equeal pokemon?
Marcus Pokemon also seem to be controlled mainly by force and the weird armor they are wearing, but we can see later Damos and Sheena talk to them and they stop attacking, so I guess my theory about not feeling/knowing its Arceus works.
